Vino Tuta - dry Saperavi from PDO Kindzmarauli

Vino tuta – a red wine made from the micro zone of Kindzmarauli, which introduces wine lovers to new possibilities of enjoyment.

Tuta’s story began when his grandfather left him a vineyard in Kvareli. When his grandfather died, she decided to change her profession and wet to France to learn winemaking. She believes that wine is a living organism that tells a story, and Vino Tuta tells the story of Tuta Galegashvili.

T: What inspired you to go to France?

when I was a child, my grandfather and I always wanted to have our own vineyard and cellar, although I had no contact with this field until Vino TuTa. Inspired by my sister, I went to Paris. There of course, everyone told me that If I wanted to study wine, I should go to Bordeaux, and I went to Bordeaux for a short time. I found an English language university that is very practical for international students.

After completing the one-year program, I was awarded the title of “Sommelier and French wine Taster”.

T: what kind of education did you have and how was the theoretical and practical course combined?

The theoretical course was very loaded with international wines. Despite the heavy load of lectures, my colleagues and I managed to organize tastings and take notes even in our free time. Taking the initiative, I went for an internship at “Château Luchey Halde”, which has one of the most famous wines and is very successful in this field.

In vintage 2019, I have been actively participating in various tastings, and I have had the opportunity to become familiar with various methods. Even than I did not know French and my colleague did not know French, with the help of google, we communicated with each other.

T: why did you return to Georgia?

My goal always was to return to Georgia and contribute to innovation here. However, upon returning, I realized that even though I was enthusiastic about making a difference from here, it’s not as easy as I thought. Even today, there are still challenges and obstacles that may hinder progress. Nevertheless, my main belief remains unchanged, and if you want to achieve everything, you must persevere through all challenges.

When I was in France, I had a times when I thought about why I am here, what should I do. Changing my profession at this stage of my life is not easy, but with the realization of unfulfilled desires, I understand that there is never late and I bottled my wine Vino Tuta.

T: Vino Tuta – a red dry Saperaci, from Kindzmarauli micro zone

Vino TuTa – a brand strategy, label design, brand name I worked together with my friend, they have significant experience and successful individuals in this field. Therefore, I love this project even more and am eager to develop it further.

Vino Tuta is created with love, and you feel this emotion and mood when you taste the wine.

Vineyards are located in Kvareli, within the micro zone of Kindzmarauli. However, the wine is premium dry red and not semi-sweet Kindzmarauli, which could have been sell in Russian and I want to sell my wine in successful wine countries.
