The Merano Wine Festival becomes more inspiring and unique every year. On June 11, the guests who came to Chateau Mukhrani had the opportunity to taste more than 350 names of Georgian, Italian and Turkish wines with the winemakers, which were presented in the orangery in the new space.
In the winter garden of the palace, professional tastings and seminars were held throughout the day. Of course, wine is unthinkable without gastronomy – the royal cellar featured companies producing food products and ingredients, whose products could be tasted and purchased on site.
The event was attended by world-class wine journalists and buyers. The festival was organized by Georgian Wine Association, Merano Festival and Chateau Mukhrani.
As Helmut Kocher, the founder of the Merano Festival said, he is glad that the festival is held in the homeland of wine and is sure that the festival will be unique every year.
According to Tina Kezeli, president of Georgian Wine Association, the Merano Festival is the result of many years of friendship and it is a place where people from different parts of the world gather, who are members of one big family.
Merano is the first festival in Europe, which serves to discover and promote high-quality wines. In 2022, it went beyond Italy for the first time and was held in Georgia. This year, it took a traditional look and chateau Mukhrani will host the event every year.
