Khirkha - a wine from 70 Year-Old Vineyards

It is said that changing professions is particularly rewarding when you can turn childhood sweet memories into your work. This was the case for David. His years of experience working with various beverages inspired him to create his own. When it came to choosing the drink, he didn’t think twice—he revived his grandfather's vineyards and began bottling wine.

Khirkha is a winery established in 2019, with vineyards located in the village of Chumlaki in the Gurjaani district. The vineyard is now 70 years old. While the yield is modest, the quality is outstanding.

The company’s name reflects the unique type of soil in the area—Clay soil, which imparts mineral tones to the wine. In addition to winemaking, this year the company has also ventured into fruit brandy production.
