The IWSC international competition is being held in Georgia for the third time, offering Georgian winemakers a unique opportunity to participate in one of the oldest and most prestigious contests in the wine industry. For the first time this year, the competition will include a category for spirits. Alongside Georgian wine companies, participants will also include Armenian and Azerbaijani wine producers.
The jury comprises globally recognized wine experts, Masters of Wine, sommeliers, and buyers whose knowledge and experience are invaluable for the growth of Georgian winemakers.
The competition will begin on November 27 and last three days. During this period, the jury will taste more than 500 wines, and the results will be announced on December 1 during the closing event.
Hosting the IWSC competition in Georgia is highly significant for the local wine and spirits industry. Additionally, it reduces logistical barriers, as Georgian winemakers no longer need to send samples to the United Kingdom, providing financial relief.

The organizers aim for the jury members to not only evaluate wines in a tasting environment but also visit wineries and regions to better understand the traditional methods of Georgian winemaking and the local culture.
