In wine production, focusing on creating high-quality wine is one aspect, while preparing the accompanying legal documentation is another, more complex process. Eka Bukhradze, an expert in alcoholic beverages with 20 years of experience, has established "Bukhradze Company," which offers a comprehensive documentation preparation service for alcoholic beverages in both local and export markets.
T: Why did you decide to establish an outsourcing company?
The idea for the company came to me while conducting training sessions for winemakers on "Certification Stages, From Producer to Consumer." These procedures are quite complex. I realized the challenges faced by winemakers and what they needed.
It’s one thing to produce wine and another to prepare the necessary documents perfectly and without errors. The laws are complex and frequently change, both locally and internationally, requiring constant updates and new information.
T: What services does your company offer to winemakers?
We handle the preparation of all types of documentation required for alcoholic beverages for both local and export markets. To sell alcoholic beverages, businesses need various documents issued by the relevant authorities.
Initially, our team determines the client’s needs—what type of documentation they require. We then send a list of the necessary information to the client. After processing this information, we submit it for approval and obtain the certificates from the relevant authorities.
Our service is available online on a single platform, which makes it easier for producers, saving them from physically going and wasting time collecting documentation.
T: What are the advantages of outsourcing for winemaking?
Our clients are primarily small and medium-sized businesses that struggle to hire highly qualified staff due to high costs. Every winemaker says that their focus is on the technological aspects of wine production, not on legal issues. We help resolve this problem by preparing all certificates with complete accuracy in the shortest time possible.
Moreover, when the entire documentation chain—from harvest registration to customs procedures—is handled by one entity, the chances of errors are minimized. Our clients are constantly in contact with us, and we provide consultation at any time.
T: What are your future plans?
Our goal is to further develop our service. We are focused on understanding client needs and adapting to them, aiming to integrate the entire documentation chain—from vineyard cadastre to customs procedures—on a single platform.
We are also adding QR codes, which are mandatory for wine bottled after December 8, 2023, according to EU requirements. We are working to offer digital labels at an acceptable price, minimizing costs for the company.
Additionally, we have created an informational website for our clients, available at www.wineeb.ge.
