British Wine Competition IWSC 2025 in Georgia Wraps Up Successfully

The IWSC 2025 wine and spirits judging in Georgia has concluded with remarkable success, once again highlighting Georgia's pivotal role in the global wine and spirits industry. Held for the third time, the event brought together internationally acclaimed jury members alongside local experts. A total of 420 wines and spirits from 150 companies were evaluated.

The results were outstanding, with 28 gold, 113 silver, and 177 bronze medals awarded. The judges particularly praised the harmony and purity of Saperavi wines. Amber wines also stood out, earning eight gold medals for their exceptional quality.

This year, Armenian wines were also featured, showcasing remarkable elegance and diversity. Wines made from the Areni grape in Armenia's Vayots Dzor region received high praise, securing several gold medals.

For the first time, the competition included a dedicated evaluation of spirits. This panel highlighted the growing potential of Georgian distillation, with local producers presenting innovative and high-quality products that captured significant attention.

The IWSC 2025 event not only celebrated exceptional products but also reaffirmed Georgia's unique role as a key player in the international wine and spirits industry.
